Education
I received my Bachelors in Elementary Education from the University of Central Oklahoma in 2003. I received my Masters in Reading from the University of Central Oklahoma in 2007.
Experience
I taught 1st grade for 5 years in Oklahoma City. I spent the next two as a reading specialist In Oklahoma City working with kids in Kindergarten - 4th grade. I am now headed to a new journey teaching 3rd grade in Norman. I have successfully tutored 10 students in reading over the last 3 years in grades 2nd-6th. I only tutor 2-3 children at a time, so that I can have time to focus on each child. In addition to my degree, I have been trained in LETRS and I am also taking several classes at Payne Education Center to become a certified academic language therapist.
